sa karon kay suko pa mo, maybe because you see that government should act the way what the books say they should act.

pero once you reach adulthood, and you become fully aware of the realities of the world, you would appreciate that the laws can be bent sometimes to benefit the common good.

give it time, sa pag tigulang ninyo, makasabot ra gyapon mo why some of us davaoenos prefer security and peace over what is written in the books.
Not true. I am not so young as that and I have several businesses to oversee as well various financial obligations, employee welfare etc. My advice to anyone regardless of their age or background is "hang on to your principles" because there are those waiting (if given the chance) who will happily take away your liberty. Complacency is the enemy within.

The fact that the order pushed through eventually does not mean that the execution was not blocked at THAT TIME. Do you understand this or not? The crime was already committed at the time because it was executory the very minute the judge signed the order of demolition and any act that prevents its execution even for 2 hours, an hour, a minute or even a second is already an act of blocking its execution. Whether or not the court order was eventually enforced has no relevance.

Its like saying, a criminal didn't commit the crime of resisting arrest, if he was eventually arrested later on. That's illogical...

Second, there's the issue of direct assault against a person in authority. Did you know that the penalties are more severe if the person who is doing the assaulting is also a person in authority? That is because the framers of our criminal code wanted to send the message that everyone should respect persons in authority who are going about doing their job, and the people who themselves are in authority above all should obey this law, otherwise there is no order only anarchy and powerless courts.

I may have disagreements and even dislike Enrile, but this guy is a genius when it comes to law and what he said in relation to this is absolutely correct. Kamong mga bright boy nga supporter ni Duterte dire, adto nalang mo lalis ni Enrile tanawon namo kung unsa jud ka maayong laki ninyo...

dili ako ang kontra diri and i think nobody here is an enemy.

opinions raman ang gi hatag nila. saludo ko sa style ni mayor duterte but im not being close minded sa mga nahitabo.

we should be fair when it comes to judging people and at the same time realistic to what is going on. and i agree sa comment ni yokam, once we grow older we learn to look at things not in a idealistic way but to what is reality.

take this thread as part of our learnings that once in our life we used to think this way.

ideals change as time pass by while reality stays the same
