47 is still young, I'm sure he still had so much left in him. It's a pity we won't be able to see more of his talent and ideas, but we'll surely remember him for the unparalleled titles he has worked on.

I can't think of any anime director who realy is par with his styles, and that is anime realism which deals alot with human emotions and psyche. "Perfect Blue" was one of the anime which realy got me hook in his works. Never i have seen an anime with the touch of suspense and Hitchcocks style, bordering from paranaoia to surreal state. I'm realy at loss for words i owned two original dvds of his movie which i bought at amazon way back 2005. He was one of kind director who realy wasnt afraid to explore "human-drama and comedy" in anime and he proves it in "Millennium Actress", and "Tokyo Godfathers" . I"m surely gonna miss Kon's , i just hope somebody steps in and fill his shoes.
