doctor, doctor

I went to the doctor last night and I am very disappointed to say that his mind was elsewhere when he was talking to me. He kept touching his forehead and crinkling his eyes like he was in need of some doctor himself. He said I'll be alright and to just continue drinking my meds and almost shooed me out of his clinic. I guess I should be happy I'm healthy enough to be almost shooed; no sick person gets shooed out of a clinic - I hope so because that would be sad.

Now I miss my doctor in the Philippines. He was always all smiles and every visit would last forever. He was the same way with all of his patients, so I made sure to always visit his clinic very early so I get to be the first one in. That or I make sure I am the last so I don't wait that long. But even if I still have to wait that long, I feel good because it means somebody's being taken care of.

I was reading my favorite book by candlelight last night. Then I realized that I could see the moon outside of my window from where I was lying down. It was not the first time I saw the moon from my bed but since it has been months since I would always leave the curtains closed every time I went to sleep, I was quite surprised.

Candlelight, moonlight and an old book - triple treat!

We know that doctors are also humans and there will be times that they need to take care of themselves though they are doctors. No one is axcepted on taking care of their self thats why we have to consider taking care of our health.

I didn't say doctors were exempted. The thing is I wasn't sure if he felt sick or he simply did not want me there.
