It is a dream to buy a house in Cebu City but for many, this seems to be changing fast. The Philippines is a beautiful country full of great beaches, wildlife, and nature. It is quickly growing to become an international tourist destination. With this growth more and more people are wanting to live in the Philippines, especially retirees. This has created a booming economy in both tourism and job growth.
This month starting March 15th 2016 Philippine Airlines will begin sending flights three times a week from Mactan International in Cebu City directly to Los Angeles. For the first time ever there will be non-stop flights to the growing tourist destination. With so much expansion it's only natural that there are many more real estate developments being built throughout the country.
Real estate in the past has been done mostly through word of mouth in the Philippines. Agents and brokers using paper and pencil to write houses for sale down to show to their clients. Traditionally many have also posted in newspaper adds like sunstar where buyers may still be looking. However even this market has begun to change too. With more and more people using the Internet; Agents, brokers, and potential real estate buyers have developed the need to have a place to go online to find homes for sale in the Philippines. This has started to change with the introduction to a new company called ListingSearch.ph
Here for the first time starting with Cebu City real estate for sale, everyone using Listing Search can view listings that are being sold throughout the country. Unlike other listing bulletin board websites like Lamudi, ListingSearch is a centralized MLS system where one can go to find all sorts of things about the industry such as agent reviews, profiles, and much more. This helps buyers find quality listings and not just uploaded properties over and over again which can get frustrating.
I'm excited to see where the real estate market goes over the next decade. I continually see raising home prices in popular tourist destinations such as Cebu, and many amazing developments going up. Will Cebu be the next Singapore as some have hoped it might? With the expansion of the bridges to Mactan one can only hope that this popular beautiful tourist and business destination will only get better and better.
