If I could just digitally illustrate the neurotic make up of a person's brain, I would have definitely figured out what each of my student's would be when they grow up. I could reengineer it to the point that my perception about them would be aligned. Miss So is good in drawing, she should take Fine Arts. Mr. So and So is well not doing good, he could be a bum. So on and so forth.
Of course, I'm only joking. This only happens in the movies.
That's the whole point isn't it? We are all going through a process of becoming. Genetically, we might have these so and so sets of abilities we inherited from our parents, but sometimes science itself will prove otherwise. No matter how much we try to put some character traits into a whole set of standardized psychological test, there are unknown factors that come into play. I guess that's where the environment comes in.
We are each other's teachers. We pick up a set of habits that we perceive worked in one person and we try to embrace them. While so doing, others are also trying to copy us. The power of example is inarguable.
The human brain has so puzzled me over the years. Despite my research about it, I still find myself baffled at all its many mysteries. For instance, how can we ever store up a lot of information in one part of the brain while continue to reminisce about the old ones?
Retention. Recall. Memory. These are vital in learning. But we can choose not to remember if we just don't recall anything. If we forgot about a concept, maybe we didn't really store it up somewhere in those networks of neurons (which according to some die down).
What's the whole point of all these? Nothing. My mind's just wondering.
