The Ying and the Yang Within

Whoever has not been beset with Hamlet's lines, "To be or not to be, that is the question"? We all, at many points in our lives, have found ourselves in the middle of a crossroad. With the many choices we have to make, our options are literally narrowed down (our own skill at deduction, put to the test) to two most difficult choices.
Should I take this course or not? What if I follow my heart more than my mind? Will this hurt if I go through this? These are, more often than not, questions we bombard our brains with. Through transfer of learning our brains search through tons and tons of information to help solve issues as trivial as what ice cream flavor to choose or what shoes best fits with what attire. Our experiences (finding out that fire really burns by actually touching it or the water is truly deep because one almost drowned) help solve such issues, too. (Or so we thought.)
In Science we learned that each atom consists of a positively charged (proton) and negatively charged (electron) particle. Without which, a certain material would not have accomplished its entirety. It is reflective how the Orientals have encapsulated this concept to the Yin and the Yang ---inside each of us, a combination of the good and the bad.
So, in simple terms, there are two kinds of wolves within each of us ---the good and the bad kind. It is the good kind that often helps us decide choices that adhere, advocate and are leaning towards what's moral (or those we learn from Re.ED class). The bad kind, often makes us decide for that which otherwise leads to the former. Whichever of the two kinds of wolves you want to reign, depends on which you will feed the most.
Like someone trapped in a schizophrenic world, we often find ourselves in oblivion, dealing with choices, making our own choices, letting others see what choices we are making (like some acknowledgment of sorts), but the final choice, as always, will be the ones that too often, we find regrets choosing (yet we choose no matter what).
So whether you are somewhere where there are crossroads, always think that it is a reminder that you are normal (despite the gravity of the choice that had been thrust on you). You are going through what normal homo sapiens go through -- the ability to make choices and the courage to face their concomitant consequences.
If choosing will take its toll on you, fear less. You have within you the best of both worlds, without which, you could not be considered whole.
