Hunat Sugbu Triathlon

It is definitely sweeter the second time around as Hunat Sugbu Traithlon goes back to Argao on September 20, 2015.

This year’s triathlon event include categories for the standard triathlon (1.5km swim – 40km bike – 10km run), sprint triathlon (750m swim – 20km bike – 5km run), relay triathlon (1.5km swim – 40km bike -10km run) and the team challenge wherein the fastest team wins. The total time of the team’s top 5 finishers will determine the team’s time.


The age groups for the standard distance age-group category are 29 under, 30-39 yo, 40-49 yo and 50 & above for the men’s group while 29 under, 30-39yo and 40 & above for the women’s group. For the sprint distance age-group category, men’s group includes ages 19under, 20-29 yo, 30-39 yo, 40-49 yo and 50 & above while women’s group includes ages 19 under, 20-29 yo, 30-39 yo and 40 & above. The relay team category is a mixed group of 2-3 members.


Prizes for the individual standard distance for both men and women are P7,000 plus medal for first place, P5,000 plus medal for the second place and P3,000 plus medal for third place. For the team challenge, P10,000 plus trophy will be given to the first place winner, P7,000 plus trophy for second place and P5,000 plus trophy for the third place winner. The top three winners for age groupers in standard distance and sprint distance, as well as the top three winners in the relay team challenge, will get medals.
