And because your Istorya family cares for your overall well-being, we have compiled a list of the best sports to undertake for the months of April and May:

More commonly known as “Ultimate,” this sport combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two teams with a flying disc or Frisbee on a field with end zones, similar to football.
The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent’s end zone. A player must stop running while in possession of the disc, but may pivot and pass to any of the other receivers on the field. Ultimate is a transition game in which players move quickly from offense to defense on turnovers that occur with a dropped pass, an interception, a pass out of bounds, or when a player is caught holding the disc for more than ten seconds.
Developed back in 1968 by a group of students in New Jersey, the sport prides itself in its self-officiating, even at the highest levels of competition. The concept which is known as the “Spirit of the Game” is practiced at all levels – even at the World Games.
TRIATHLON

A sport that is steadily establishing its roots in Cebu with the staging of several high-profile competitions here, triathlon is one that tests the limits of the human spirit. In recent years, Cebu has been placed squarely in the center of the sport’s spotlight with the Ironman 70.3 and Xterra competitions being held here. While triathlon isn’t for everyone, if you feel tough and fit enough, and are raring to rub shoulders with celebrity triathletes such as Matteo Guidicelli or Formula 1 race car driver Jenson Button, this summer is the best time to start brushing up on your swimming, biking and running skills. In fact, Cebu has a steady stream of local races that you can try your hand at. You can check out sugbutriathlon.com if one fits your calendar.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Regular volleyball is already a lot fun. But throw in some sand and some sunshine, and you have an even better time! Because of the smaller courts, only a few players can usually fit in, which means it doesn't get boring because the ball is probably headed your way. Making spectacular diving plays without paying the price of scraped joints is great too.
SKATEBOARDING

It is a sport for adrenaline junkies and has sparked an entire rebellious culture all its own and all you need is a board, some places to grind and ramp, and you got yourself something to do. Best to do it in legit places though such as the Concave Skate Park and the Lapu-Lapu City Skatepark.
WATERSPORTS

Surfing. Water skiing. Wake boarding. Wind surfing. All warm weather sports. All in the water. All awesome. It would be a waste of a summer if you didn't go out near a body of water at least once to attempt one of these incredibly-fun activities. In fact, why don’t you head over to Cebu’s first wake cable park in Cebu – the Cebu Wake Park – in Liloan to try your hand at this addictive sport.
