Creperie Paris Cafe opened its doors to the dining public last February and it is owned and operated by Jamaica Obeso and Raphaël Mollard. Raph came up with the menu and he is also the head chef for the creperie while Jamaica takes care of the customers. Theirs was a partnership made in the most romantic place in the world, Paris.
Raph and Jam met in Telecom Ecole de Management-Sud Paris in 2009 when she was doing her exchange studies there. A little funny trivia, Raph actually got her a crepe on their first date and it was also Raph's first time to see the Eiffel tower at night .
After Jam finished her studies in Ateneo she went to take her Masters in Management of New Communication Technologies in Universite Paris Dauphine and Français des Affaires (Business French) in La Sorbonne University, both in Paris. Raph worked as an IT consultant after he finished his Masters in Management Engineering.
They decided last year to try living in the Philippines since there seemed to be a lot of interesting opportunities here.
They both wanted to open something like a restaurant or bar here in the Philippines, at first in Manila with a couple of friends. They were brainstorming for ideas when one friend suggested creperie, they thought it was brilliant since its very French, not very difficult to make, already a familiar product to filipinos but still very niche especially authentic FRENCH crepes, and with more Filipinos learning about european culture they thought it should be worth a try.
Since they both lived in paris for 3-4 years, they know the city quite well and knowing how people are fascinated with Paris and the Eiffel Tower, they wanted to put Paris in their name, and of course 'creperie' since its a restaurant specializing in crepes and that is how "Creperie Paris Cafè" came to be
