• Cebu City Welcomes Back Kaona Grill!

Remember the good old days with friends at the old Kaona Grill across Ayala?

Well, #throwbackthursdays and #flashbackfridays just got real. Now in its new location at Wilson St., Lahug (right side on that street going to Camp Lapu-Lapu), Kaona Grill still has all the ingredients for the ultimate chill night within the city--- great ambiance, ice-cold beer and the all-time favorite grilled dished that everyone has grown to love.

      New and Old Interiors
Step inside and notice the Anahaw (national leaf of the Philippines. Oh yes, we have a national leaf) details on the roof and on the sides of the bar. The legendary chalkboard art is still very much alive and all over the place, starting with a giant Welcome Back sign just right at the entrance.

      Why we Love Kaona Grill
Owned by the Pages family- Efren, Gina and their daughter Christa partnered with Wayne and Pia Congmon of Sunburst Restaurant, Kaona Grill has been a favorite spot for iSTORYAns (perfect spot for EBs) way back 2003 when it started. When it transferred to A.S. Fortuna, iSTORYAns still flock over to Kaona because of the ambiance still and the warm service brought about by everyone.

      iSTORYA.NET’s recommended dishes
Our favorite dishes include (plus our personal notes):

      - Prawn Sinigang- with the right amount of sourness

      Crispy Kare2x- a must try!

      - Crispy Kare2x- one of their signature dishes. The sauce is delectable and the pork is still crisp to the taste and the vegetables are not soggy.
      - Calamares- tasty and not gummy

      Calamares!

      - Pancit- long life
      - Grilled pork belly- right tenderness
      - Grilled bangus
      - Sizzling squid
      - All yummy desserts (hahaha)

      New Dishes
What’s great is that they have new dishes, too, and are planning to serve 5 new ones every quarter. Here’s some things to look forward to:
      - Mais Rice with Adobo- this is a typical Cebuano meal wrapped in banana leaf containing corn rice and chicken adobo with origins from Carcar!
      - Mongo Soup with Gata and Chicharon – all-time Cebuano favorite. Be it packed or in picnic style, just tell the waiters and they can customize packaging for you

      Prices
Their prices are almost the same as that of the old Kaona prices, affordable and cost-efficient.

      Discounts!
For their soft opening, call center agents are given 5% discount! Just show your call center ID to avail of the discount.
