GCash revamps app for reinforced security, easier navigation, and better user experience

GCash, the Philippines' no. 1 mobile wallet, has updated its app to offer more convenient transactions, new features and services, and, most importantly, reinforced security, all packaged in a fresh and user-friendly interface for Filipinos.

Along with the evolving everyday needs of GCash customers – the GCash app revamp further strengthens navigability, simplicity, and overall relevance to users while boosting security.

Better in-app navigation is seen with the "Cash In" option beside the "Available Balance" for a more intuitive deposit. App icons are also re-grouped according to their uses, with the most commonly used features being Send, Load, Transfer & Bills at the upper row, followed by financial services and entertainment at the second and third rows. Aside from that, GCash now includes a "my favorites" section so you can easily find what you need on the app – whether that's your utility provider to easily pay all your bills on the app or your favorite merchant from among thousands of leading brands on GCash.

With this new update, the GCash app's security has intensified further so users can manage their finances and lifestyle without stress or worry. In addition, activating the biometrics login option is now easier for smartphones with biometric scanners while keeping the MPIN option available. However, it will take a few steps to implement this safer login option.

Since its launch in 2004, GCash has strived to achieve financial inclusion and improve Filipinos' everyday lives by continuously innovating to improve the app's overall safety and experience, which has led to the growth of the app's user base to over 69 million users today.
