You are probably aware that going on a safari is unlike any other holiday you may have taken. It is more! This safari holiday is possibly what every delegate thinks right now before the big day – July 30!
Organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) with the 2022 active and dynamic Cebu Business Months champions in partnership with Cebu Safari and Adventure Park and the Department of Tourism Region 7, the GO RACE CEBU: The Great Safari Experience will materialize on July 30 (Saturday), in Cebu Safari and Adventure Park, Carmen, Cebu.
The GO Race Cebu! Features three race categories: 12K obstacle race will gun-start at 7 a.m., 6K obstacle race at 7:15 a.m., and 3K fun run at 7:30 a.m.
“Be prepared to crawl, run, carry, and expect elevated areas. Wear comfortable athletic clothes or road-to-trail shoes, especially for the obstacle races,” as recommended by Mr. Carlo Sumayang, a Spartan SGX and World OCR Coach and the Race Director.
By joining the GO Race Cebu, there are many opportunities for exploration and relaxation and many ideas to consider. With a map of The Great Cebu Safari laid out before you, the possibilities play like a movie in your mind. Your eyes are plying the plains, rolling along a golden, sprawling 170 hectares landscape, for a spectacular sight of hundreds of different plants and more than 1,000 animals from 120 different species.
Interested participants can register online at https://bit.ly/3ObOtKw or in person at Cebu Safari and Adventure Park and Runnr in Ayala Center Cebu starting July 18. The last day of registration is July 23. On-site registrations are discouraged.
Registration fees are as follows:
P1,400 for the 12K obstacle race; or
P1,100 for the 6K obstacle race; and
P1,000 for the 3K fun run.
The fun run includes the package:
Bundle A at P1,500 for one (1) adult or parent plus one (1) kid.
Bundle B at 1,800 for one (1) adult or parent plus two (2) kids.
Releasing of race kits will be on July 26–29 at The Runnr, Ayala Center Cebu. All racers are required to present valid IDs and confirmation emails.
The GO Race Cebu partnered with Catalina Buses, which offers roundtrip rides to all racers. Assembly time is 4 a.m.- 4:30 a.m. at the Cebu Business Park.
In a press conference about Go Race Cebu last July 15 at the Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, CBM 2022 Overall Chairperson Brigitte Carmel Lim said that the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recognizes the importance of fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. Lim further emphasized that we became conscious of our health and well-being, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.
“We are aggressive when it comes to fitness and healthy living. We want to continue this tradition of promoting wellness and fitness and make it an experiential thing,” Lim said during the press conference hosted by Queene Rose Dionaldo, Founder and Managing Director of BizHero.ph.
