Seda opens in Cebu

Seda has opened its flagship property in the heart of Cebu City. Ayala Land Inc.’s homegrown hotel brand is the only hotel within the Cebu Business Park; it officially opened on August 19. Seda has been receiving reservations for rooms and functions for up to early next year.


Seda Ayala Center Cebu features 301 rooms. For now, 100 rooms are available for its soft opening. The hotel will be fully operational by mid-September.


Guests will experience Seda’s brand of Filipino hospitality that is at par with global standards. The hotel was completely refurbished with warm contemporary interiors from the plans of architect and interior designer Conrad Onglao. The guest rooms now offer a modern, minimalist layout in earth colors. The function and meeting rooms feature lighter and brighter look. It now has contemporary finishes and design accents.


The lobby now has an expanded seating area. The reception area flows into the e-lounge where iMac units are available for the free use of guests. It also connects to the hotel’s all-day dining facility Misto, which is by the pool.


Seda takes pride in its excellent service and superior location. The hotel’s general manager Andrea Mastellone explained that the brand prioritized establishing properties in places that needed modern hotel facilities. Since they entered the industry in 2012, they have opened in different key locations. Such as Bonifacio Global City, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao. Today, Seda is also open in Nuvali, Iloilo, Quezon City, and Bacolod. Another Seda property is set to open in IT Park by 2020. It is going to have serviced apartments with a hotel.

Seda Ayala Center Cebu is going to have its grand opening in December. The event is going to in time with the hotel’s Christmas tree lighting. (Janna Yuvallos)
