The Market by Sugbo Mercado

Sugbo Mercado, Cebu’s first and biggest weekend food market is expanding its reach. The weekend food market started in IT Park, Lahug, and opened another key location in Cebu Business Park. Soon, The Market, a spin-off of Sugbo Mercado, is going to be #YourEverydayFoodMarket. It is set for a soft opening by June 2018. Its grand opening will be sometime in July.


The Market by Sugbo Mercado is going to be the city’s first container van food park. It is the city’s first fully-functional food, arts, and co-working space. It is going to be located in a closed off space at Mantawi International Drive, North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City. This area is near MO2 and UC Med. It is a 3,000 square meter open air, free enterprise. The park is going to have a 750 seating capacity in comparison to Sugbo Mercado’s 350 seating capacity. The container van concept facility has two floors. On the second floor of the container van, there is going to be a co-working space with a café. This is going to be open from noon until midnight.



Sugbo Mercado will continue to operate for only four days during the weekend. The Market is going to be a daily food bazaar that will be open from Tuesday until Sunday. It operates from 5 PM to 1 AM. It will be home to Sugbo Mercado’s old favorites and new offerings. It currently has about 25 vendors. Meals are from under Php100 up to Php200.

The Market by Sugbo Mercado aims to support more start-up food entrepreneurs by providing an avenue for them to offer their food.
