Isidra Comfort Cantina, Cebu’s answer to Filipino comfort food cravings, is happy to announce its moved to a new location in North Park, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.
Conveniently located at the crossroads of U.N. Avenue and Plaridel Street, Isidra’s new home is a cozy space with an open kitchen where diners canfeel like they are part of the cooking process and see the love and care put in the preparation of their meals.
“Our new location is smaller but there is ample parking at the basement shared with Maayo Medical and Maayo Hotel. We are within easy driving distance through various roads, and well situated for people traveling to and from Cebu since it’s only 7 minutes away from the airport,” said Lor Torres, the founder and chef of Isidra. She adds, “We have a new look, one that’s more in tune with the casual, comfortable and homey feel that we like.”
Isidra, named after her late grandmother, was established in 2014, is the passion project of the chef, where comfort food meals pay homageto Filipino regional flavours from Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, to name a few:
Luzon’s gising-gising, a spicy coconut cream-based vegetable dish is healthy and satisfying. The ever-loved adobo is present in Isidra’s Twice Cooked Adobo version. Mindanao is tastefully represented through the Grilled Tuna Panga and Tausug specialty Pyanggang Manok or blackened chicken.
