Cebu celebrates Cebu Business Month

This coming June, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (CCCI) will hold its annual Cebu Business Month (CBM). CBM is one of CCCI’s flagship projects. Given the Presidential Proclamation No. 748 signed by former President Fidel V. Ramos, the event is to be celebrated in the whole month of June every year.


With this year’s theme “Innovate Cebu!”, activities and events will highlight the areas of tourism, entrepreneurship, information and communications technology, and business processing management.

The Grand Opening Salvo will kick-off the CBM on the 1^st of June. It will be at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu. The One Town, One Product (OTOP) Exhibit begins on the 1^st until the 3^rd of June at the Ayala Center Cebu. This is to showcase local businesses.

The CEO Forum on Workforce Development is going to be on June 5. The Cebu International Film Festival (CEBU.IFF) Curtain Raiser will be on June 8 at SM Seaside City Cebu. The AAA Renaissance Cebuana 2018 is going to have its Cebuana Sports Marathon on June 9. This is going to be at the Cebu Provincial Capitol. Its second installment, which is the Battle of the Brains, is going to be on June 23. Another event is going to be the Business-in-Golf (BIG) Tournament. It is going to be on June 21 at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.


An adventure racing event called “Lumba’g Laag sa Sugbo” will take place on June 10-12. It is going to feature Cebu’s hidden attractions in the south. The awarding for this event is going to be on June 13 at SM Seaside. The Tourism Innovation Forum is also scheduled at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. This is going to be an avenue to discuss new ways to increase tourism in the city.

The main event of CBM 2018 is the Innovation Summit (Conference and Expo). It is going to be on the 19^th to the 20^th of June. It is going to be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.CBM 2018 will also celebrate Design Week on June 16-23, MSME Industry EdTour on June 22, and Sugbo Entertainment Expo (SEE Cebu) on June 23-24.

The month-long event is going to conclude with the Grand Chamber Awards and Fellowship Night on June 29 at the Oakridge Pavilion.
