The Flower Power Art Exhibit will be open during the summer festival. This exhibit showcases the blooms and colors of summer.
Art pieces featured are by renowned Cebuano artists. The exhibit is set up at Bamboo Bay’s Contempo Art Gallery. The gallery is a unique community feature designed to support Cebuano art and talents. The exhibit will run until the 31st of May.
Anne Dala showed healthy and easy-to-prepare treats during the launch of the summer festival. She showed different ways to maximize vegetation in taste and in nutritional value. Anne is a home chef and a food revolution ambassador. Among her recipes are Green Smoothie Power Bowl, Purple Smoothie Power Bowl, and Yellow Smoothie Power Bowl. She uses ingredients that can be grown in one’s own garden. This promotes another community feature of Bamboo Bay, which is the Edible Garden. This garden will be a source of vegetables and organic herbs. Said produce will be sold at the Community Store later this year.
Debbie Degracia, Bamboo Bay homeowner, also showcased her collection of succulents. She shared her knowledge on proper care and maintenance of these plants. She also explained how these plants can highlight one’s living space.
In celebration of Flores de Mayo in May, Bamboo Bay Chapel will have special masses on Saturdays. These masses will conclude with flower offerings to Mother Mary. A Santacruzan procession around the community will culminate the summer festival.
