Cebu holds IT-BPM Transformation Summit

The Cebu IT-BPM Organization (CIB.O) is organizing the 2018 Transformation Summit with the theme “Embracing New Realities”. This is co-presented by SYKES for their 15th year anniversary.

The event focuses on the shifts that affect the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector in the Philippines. Discussions on the need to adopt more artificial intelligence (AI), digital embrace and continued innovation, the shift to higher value services, and the impact of the K-12 program will be main features of the event. Topics such as readiness of Cebu City to become part of the top 10 super cities in the world, the preparedness of Cebu’s BPMs in offering AI or complex services, and the impact of education and innovation will be discussed.“We are now in a period when we have to attune our way of doing business to technological advancements, prepare our senior high school graduates to be more employable, and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in order for us to sustain the growth of the IT-BPM sector.”, managing director of CIB.O, Wilfredo Saa, Jr. said. CIB.O has the vision of making Cebu the preferred IT-BPM location for higher value IT and IT-enabled services. It has expanded its support for the industry by providing human resource development, marketing, and infrastructure. The 2018 Transformation Summit is a sign of its determination to contribute to the growth of the industry. Participants in the academe, ICT councils and local government units will have a registration fee of Php2,000. CIB.O members will have to pay Php2,500. Non-CIB.O members will have to pay Php4,000. The registration fee covers meals and snacks for the plenary sessions and a conference kit.The event will take place on May 16, 2018, at Bai Hotel in Mandaue City, Cebu. The summit will be from 8 AM-5 PM.
