iSTORYA.NET is looking for people who love to write.
I was trying to looked for a great pitch to sell the idea of us looking for people who can write informative and fun articles for the homepage. I tried—writers. But then, there are some who love to write but do not consider themselves writers. Maybe the lack of experience or confidence does not give them the push to say that they are. Or maybe the term “writer” is too coy for those on the contrary, those with experiences and those with earned credibility.
So, the best way for me to advertise this need is as simple as that: We are looking for people who LOVE to write. I would not try to oversell and say that we need someone with a degree, someone with experience, someone with expertise. We just need someone who has the passion and love in writing.
If you are someone with at least one of the following:
- an iSTORYAn who frequents the homepage for new articles, or visits the Arts and Literature page for tips on writing
- keeps diaries when they were kids/teenagers. By keep I mean, consistent and persistent entries in your diaries (Dear Diary, Carlo sat beside me today… Yes that kid could be one of us)
- upon growing up, ditches those diaries because it's old school and blogs instead.
- feels that writing is a tool to express one’s emotions, thoughts, feelings
- jots down topics that could be beneficial in writing
- has the ability and talent to string words together beautifully
- is neurotic when it comes to grammar and word usage and has the tendency to correct them
- noticed that the second sentence in this article has a wrong tense (did that on purpose, haha!)
If you just smiled and nodded and felt that you can relate to any of those things I mentioned, then maybe you are just the person we are looking for!

Time: You don’t have to be employed at iSTORYA.NET just to join us. You can maintain your day jobs and just do this as a past-time, a hobby if you will.
