Convergys Hugyaw 2017 recently had its culminating day after a month of celebrating employee’s talents, teamwork and fellowship. The final celebration which was held at the University of Southern Philippines, Lahug Campus on May 28, 2017, drew more than 21,000 people – employees and their families combined making it still the biggest BPO event in Cebu.
Eight Sites with different personalities but with One Goal to work as One Team, One Awesome Family -- One Convergys Cebu!
The culmination day kicked off with the Parade of Sites - Cebu 1, 2, i2, Cebu i3, Cebu 5, Banawa, Cebu JCentre and TGU headed by the Team Lead of Convergys and the reigning Queen of Hugyaw 2017, Adriana Lynda of Convergys Cebu 2 Site.
The Costume Play Competition followed with different sites pitching in with their own Cosplayers garbed in their anime/mobile-games-inspired costumes. Cebu i2 won first place in both categories: Kids and Adult Cosplay. Their Gambit and Iron Man cosplayers won the hearts of the judges and the crowd, as well.
At the dancesport competition, the crowd favorite, Cebu1, Golden Site bagged the first place. The site also won the Site Banner Competition and bested other sites in the recently concluded Short Film Festival.
Cebu i2 and Cebu TGU sites won the championship games in Volleyball and Basketball, respectively. Cebu Banawa Site won the Sing-Off Battle and Cebu 2 Site bagged first place in the Dance-Off Competition.
Based on their total points garnered from all the activities and competitions, Convergys Cebu 2 Site came out as Overall Site Champion.
The monthlong celebration of amazing talents and creativity of employees, camaraderie, and teamwork, Convergys simply showed that having eight sites of different personalities can create one big happy family – One Convergys Cebu!
Hugyaw also illustrates that Convergys is not just a great company to build a career and your future, but also one that provides avenues for fun and personal development.
