Sparkling December at Shangri-La Mactan

It is a sparkling December at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu.


Guests, clients, and resort colleagues, led by General Manager René D. Egle, welcomed the yuletide season with a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony last December 1. As the five-star resort presented dining options and fun activities, that brightens the yuletide holidays.


It was a spellbinding evening that featured contemporary dance performance. Accompanied by a live musical ensemble and singers.

Guests can look forward to a series of offers and activities for the season at the restaurants, CHI - The Spa, and Adventure Zone .

To begin their enchanting retreat, guests can indulge in CHI. The Spa’s offer of a 90-minute back, neck, and shoulder massage at a special price of PHP4,500 net per person. The offer will be available from Dec. 1 to 20, 2016.

Adventure Zone brushes on the young ones’ creativity with themed arts and crafts. Children will feel the joyful hues of the season. As they learn how to make Christmas Handprints, Christmas Wreaths, Christmas Cards, Holiday T-shirts, Snowman Popsicle, Reindeer Paper Bags, Santa’s Beard and more.

Registration packages start at PHP1,000 net per child. Inclusive of 2 activities and 2 hours playtime at the multi-level indoor playground. The season’s activities are available from December 19, 2016 to January 1, 2017.


To complete the festive experience, hearty feasts await guests at the restaurants. From December 20 to 23, Tides presents a festive dinner buffet at PHP1,850++ per person. The buffet’s dessert spread takes the spotlight. With choices of Christmas cupcakes and chocolate logs especially handcrafted by the pastry chefs.


On Christmas Eve, Tides’ dinner buffet is at PHP2,500++ per person. Inclusive of free-flowing red, white and sparkling wine. On Christmas Day, the dinner buffet is at PHP2,350++ per person also with the same inclusions.

Guests dine under starlit skies and against the cool sea breeze at Cowrie Cove. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 4-course dinner is at PHP2,500++ per person. It is inclusive of a glass of sparkling wine.

Cowrie Cove’s New Year’s Eve 5-course dinner on Dec. 31 is at PHP2,800++. The dinner is inclusive of a glass of sparkling wine as well. To usher in 2017 – nearby Waves Bar has special offers on bottles of champagne and sparkling wine.

It is a ‘Buon Natale’ at Acqua with its delectable Italian fare. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 4-course dinner is at PHP2,100++ per person. It is inclusive of a glass of Prosecco. The New Year’s Eve 5-course dinner is at PHP2,300++ per person, also inclusive of a glass of Prosecco.

A New Year’s Eve Masquerade Countdown Party at The Marquee welcomes 2017. It will be a glitzy and mystical celebration of style and glamor. Party starts at 11:00 p.m. and is complimentary for all in-house guests. Tickets for walk-in guests are available at PHP2,500 net per person. A spectacular fireworks display follows at the Golf Helipad.
