Now on its 20th year, Cebu Business Month (CBM), will gather industry stakeholders in month-long activities and events in the areas of Tourism, ICT & BPM, Entrepreneurship, and Creative Industries, under the theme "Digital Cebu".
In a press conference held at Bayfront Hotel last February 29, 2016, the CBM 2016 Working Team headed by Christian Paro-an, Over-all Chairman and Ways and Means Chairman, presented Haier as one of the partners for CBM 2016.
According to Apolinar "Allan" Suarez, CBM 2016 Vice Chairman, they are happy with the partnership with Haier. Because Haier is about inspiring Filipino families to live life on a higher standard through its environmentally conscious home appliances.
Paro-an, who is also the President of RC Goldline Sale Shop, said that thru Digital Cebu, the Working Team aims that it will inspire businesses to grow and learn how to do business in the digital world. Suarez, President of A. Suarez Sterling Corp., further adds, that embracing the digital world can lead to inclusive growth.
A summit will be held this coming June at Radisson Blu Hotel that will tackle digital transformation and aims to widen the awareness and use of digital tools, technology, and solutions in all aspects of day to day activities. The said summit will also touch on developing and nurturing technology-based local startups which is as what Suarez said "going down to the grassroots level".
By doing exhibits, summits and expo's, Michael "Mike" Basubas, CBM 2016 Entrepreneurship Chairman and President of Diamond Cane International Inc., hopes that businesses will learn from it and apply it to their businesses.
CBM 2016 aims to inspire local businesses to tap to digital technology to boost their competitiveness in the global economy thereby leveraging the use of digital technology to explore new technologies to upgrade and grow businesses through digital strategies and business analytics.
