Held over the weekend at the SM Seaside City, Cebuano car aficionados and gearheads were treated to a dazzling display of vehicles of various makes and set-ups and events geared to tickle the fancy of participants that were estimated in the thousands.
Aside from the car show, there was also a drive-in movie, a sound-off competition and of course, the B2B Babes who were flown in from Manila to add even more spice to an already sizzling affair. According to Jonathan Chio, CEO of Ladder Events Production, he and his partners merely acceded to the request of Cebuanos who requested that the event be held here, at the height of the Sinulog Festival.
"It is our great pleasure to bring Bumper to Bumper to the Queen City of the South. The Cebuanos' passion for cars is more than just a hobby, it has become a lifestyle. Because of this, we are more inspired to bring them the best of the best in the automotive industry through this event," said Chio during the event’s launch.
“Maraming nag-request na the B2B be held during the Sinulog and we worked all year long to make it happen. And we assure you that there will be no dull moment during the event,” he added.
Bumper to Bumper Car Show has toured all around the major cities of the country bringing its cutting-edge brand of car-inspired fun to locales such as Baguio, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Batangas, Laguna, Tagaytay, Iloilo, Davao, General Santos City and across Manila.
But Cebu, said Cho, just brings the fun in hosting a car show to a whole new level. “The Cebu car culture scene is more fun. It’s really no-holds barred when they have fun. They usually adapt to what’s in the environment and celebrate the car culture in a festive manner,” Cho shared.
Ryan Yu, one of the more noted representatives of Cebu’s exciting car club scene, added that what set the show apart is the variety of vehicles that were seen. “There’s no discrimination. From Korean to Japanese, from European to American, you name it, we have it.”
