Founded in 2008, the Cebu City Marathon was formerly called “Sinulog Half Marathon” and was recognized as one of the activities of the Sinulog festival, with the event scheduled every second Sunday of the month. This year, a much bigger Cebu City Marathon awaits participants with more than 3,000 already signed up.
Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 Finalist, Michael Pangilinan
On Friday, January 8, 7 p.m., a pre-race party is set at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu to prepare the participants for the marathon and to entertain friends, families and spectators alike. Apart from the race briefing and reminders, exciting activities such as a photo booth, special raffle prizes, and music performance by Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 Finalist – Michael Pangilinan, are in store for everyone.
During race day on January 10, assembly time for runners of the 42km run is at 2 a.m., 3.a.m. for the 21km category and 4 a.m. for the 5km category with special prizes for best costume.
Race kits, which include a singlet, race bib with tag and a race manual, will be distributed from January 6 to 9, 10am to 9pm at the Active Zone, Ayala Center Cebu.
