Salinas reintroduces heirloom recipes that are fine-tuned to modern tastes yet cooked with a healthy dose of nostalgia. Similarly, the Salinas Drive in Cebu City is where Golden Cowrie began.
Pocherong Katag,
a deconstructed Pochero, baked bone marrow served with slightly spicy soup with meat sliced off the bone, and toasted bread with onion jam on the side
Golden Cowrie's Kristine dela Riva-Kokseng shares the joy of how she created the dishes and the flavors of Salinas - the evolution of the dishes into something familiar yet quite unique in its own way.
Treat your tastebuds to a burst of familiar and exciting flavors, start with Pako Salad with Calamari or Pomelo Salad then head on to the soup and savor the richness of Pocherong Katag and paired with Buwad and Aligue on Red Rice, finish off with a serving of cold taho and a glass of Cucumber Agua Frescas.
Fresh Banana Heart and Grilled Pineapple Salad
For vegetarians, don't fret for there is a special selection of dishes especially made for you. Filipino favorites without the meat, minus the guilt, all made possible by the collaboration with the Lazy Chef, Chip Lopez. This guiltless indulgence is under the Vegetarian Specials of the menu. Street food, as we know it - Kwek-kwek, fish balls, crispy pigs ears, are served as appetizers which are served with its condiments.
