my laptop is working on 3gb memory, but when upgraded to 4gb, only the windows start up program will display, then after that not no more, there is a cpu activity, coz pressing the pwr button will turn off the laptop and sound is also present.

1. unsa kha ni nga issue sa memory? using 1-gb and 2gb ok cya, OS is winxp pro, pero 2-2gb, same brand and parameters, no display, the manual says it can accomodate 4gb.

2. vdo card is nvidia geforce 7300,

well, try running memtest86+ on it.... just to verify it can see the whole 4gb and you can test it.

and By the way... XP can only support 3.5gb of RAM

Naay limit ang windows xp 32bit or 64, and even windows vista.

If imo kuhaon ang memory ma ok cya diba? pero imo gani i butang 4gb tanan well, obviously naa jud incompatibility OR dinha ra kutob ang limit sa imo OS. Try to reformat bro para mahibaw-an jud. Else, use windows vista mo work ba jud cya maski trial lang.

Google the windows memory limit bro.
