snatched cellphone

hi a friend of mine got his cellphone pick-pocketed ,,,, id like to know how to block the phone ...... i heard pwede ra e block so just in case the thief wants to sell the phone hed have a hard time opening it? thanks.

I know that in Europe you can block the IMEI number and the police can trace who has stolen the phone, or just block it so they cant use it. But there is no system at all here in the Philippine for that. Youre basically on your own, not much help to get.

"You must have the original receipt and the duplicate slip that has been included in the box when you purchase the cellphone. If it was stolen you must have the police blotter or if it was lost you must have the affidavit of loss.

Bring all the documents to the nearest NTC office. Once they received all the documents needed they'll be the one who will instruct the service provider to block the IMEI number."

I dont know if that works but you can try that.

you may report it to NTC. bring your receipt or the box indicating the IMEI. fill up the form then that's it but for me useless. even the provider can block it but it can still be use. there are lots of technicians can go magic... you know we are real PINOY!!

snatchers mao ang rason ngano nagpalit nalang ko ug motor ug sakyanan....di na jud ko ganahan mo sakay ug PUJ...laliman ka'g gitabangan ko ug six kabuok snatchers....kanang piit-piit style inig saka nimo sa hagdan sa jeep ba....ilhan ra ba kaayo sila nga kauban kay pareha ug mga tshirts...murag construction company shirts man tingali to....gikapkapan nako tagsa-tagsa pero naa diay silay runner nga ila na diay gipasa sa gawas akong cellphone....that was 4years ago....bantay lang lagi na sila kay kung makasunod ko ug jeep nga naa mga snatchers, ligsan jud nako ug maayo heheheh...ligsan ang tiil ug mga kamot....di lang intimanohon...para naa pa time maghinulsul bah ehehehhehe
