uhm
power consumption x (# hours/day) x #days / 1000 x power costs(kw/hour)
kung everyday nang imoha, assuming 6 pesos per kw ang rate, ingani ang mabayran per month
(34 * 8 * 30 * 6)/1000 = 48.96 pesos / month (LCD)
(80 * 8 * 30 * 6)/1000 = 115.2 pesos/month (CRT)
so ma save nimo per monitor is approximately 66 pesos per month. gamay ra ni cya na savings negligible ra kung single unit & personal/home use ra ang PC. but for internet cafe owners/offices where computers run an average of 12 hours/day with 30 or so PCs, dako gyud ni kaayo na savings.
also have to mention na LCDs release a significantly lesser amount of heat than CRT monitors, so for businesses, maka save pa gyud ka kung pahinayan nmo gamay ang aircon kay dli ra man kau init sa sulod kung daghan kau mog computers compared to having CRTs around.
LCDs wui. obvious ba? paabot ko sa LED monitors kay mas power efficient pa gyud kay sa LCD.
Im not 100% sure if im right on the power figures but a typical 19" CRT would consume like 95 ~ 120 watts, a typical 22" LCD consumes less than 60watts
LCD has lower power usage...
LCD is much better. "Energy Hog" man ang CRT.
thanks guys
its obvious crt is

Taas
lcd
