I've been actually thinking about this for such a considerable length of time. Someone had actually published a post on his blog with such a very defamatory statements against me. My parents have read his post and they want to file a case. I'm not that well-versed when it comes to this kind of stuff. I hope I can get some help here.

if you are affected as to tantamount of degrading your honor, integrity and credibility then you must protect and enforce your right.. consider also the impact of the "libelous publication" to you... One must give weight between how grave the offense committed against you or how it affects you And the expenses, time and effort in litigation.. as a sort of advise, even if it is an actionable wrong but if you believe that such wrong will not justify the expenses, time and effort then better keep yourself away from litigation and just give warn to that person that you will institute a case against him when circumstances warrant it... i know the person personally. i really have no plans to sue or the likes. my parents are just mad and they want to see this guy (which is the very last thing in my mind). and i couldn't blame them considering how degrading his statements are. i checked a while ago his post and he deleted that part. oh well...what can i say? he posted it last year but i accidently read it just this year. just consider the length of time it has been posted there, and how many people could have read it...
