yes it doesnt support .sis files because its not symbian OS...
its like saying mac doesnt support exe files...

this phone is built to last...
the more i use it the more i like it...
instead of getting 6300, users might consider this...

btw, the phone comes with microUSB cable in the package...
with this new cable you can charge the phone using the USB cable...fantastic!

I got my Nokia 6500 Slide last december and I would say this phone was really built to last. I have the silver model (not the current black ones) and I really like the metallic silver finish and the sturdy feel of the fone. Though its a bit heavy for its size because of its stainless steel body but its small enough to fit in your jeans or pants without bulging your pockets, unlike most N-series phones. And as markyap has pointed out it's not Symbian OS (S60) phone, so it lacks most of the features that comes with S60 phones, but it comes with 3.2 megapix cam with autofocus and with a Carl Zeiss lens, and it takes good pictures too. It can also record videos up to 640x480 resolution and is limited only to the size of your memory. It comes with 256MB microSD (Transflash) card but I recommend upgrading to at least 1-2 GB (phone can support up to 4GB of memory) since you'll run out of memory space if you'll use the cam with full resolution. Standard MP3 playback is supported and plays decently too. The sound coming from its rear speaker is loud enough in a room. It can't really compete with SE walkman phones, but it's enough. Its 240 x 320 TFT display with 16M colors is bright and vibrant and comes with an autosensor for brightness. Did I mention it's a 3G phone? Yes you can do video calls with this fone with its frontal camera. It can support quadband GSM (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and dualband UMTS (UMTS 850/2100). So basically you can use this phone everywhere even to North America, Europe and Japan. Feature-wise this phone is much better than its sibling the 6500 Classic.

Here are some pics I've taken with the phone:
