THE Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor indicted former Cebu South Bus Terminal manager Vicente Dejoras Jr. for allegedly demanding to have *** with a businesswoman in exchange for not closing her stalls inside the terminal.
Assistant City Prosecutor Fatima Asjal-Maadil found evidence to charge Dejoras with acts of lasciviousness before the Municipal Trial Court in Cities.
Bail was set at P12,000.

Dejoras, for his part, said the charges against him are “all lies” and that he has evidence to prove that the complainant just wanted to blackmail him after Capitol refused to renew her contract inside the terminal.
“I’m so sorry but she is not my type,” he told Sun.Star Cebu in a phone interview.
Background
Assisted by her lawyer, the late Noel Archival, Elsa (real name withheld) filed the complaints for grave misconduct and grave abuse of authority, acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation last January.
She said Dejoras urged her several times to accompany him to an uptown hotel last year, but she refused.
On August 8, 2013, Dejoras allegedly called her and told her that he wanted to talk to her.
While inside his office, Dejoras allegedly kissed Elsa. She said she tried to push him, but he hugged her tight.
“He then told me in the vernacular, ‘Di gyud ka? Gusto ka lisod-lisoron tika sa imong paninda? Di nako i-renew imong kontrata (Do you want me to make your business difficult for you. I won’t renew your contract)’?”
Dejoras allegedly always demanded that Elsa be the one to serve him food. He also would not allow her to sell junk food, while other vendors were allowed to.
In September, 2013, Dejoras allegedly ordered Elsa to sign a document and added his family name after hers.
On the 27th of that month, she asked Gov. Hilario Davide III to allow her to sell junk food. A few days later, Dejoras allegedly got angry at her.
The following month, a security guard told Elsa’s mother that they could not dispose of their garbage in the terminal, but the other vendors were allegedly allowed to.
A petition was sent to Davide last October, asking for Dejoras’ replacement.
Stallholders, drivers, conductors, dispatchers, vendors and bus operators comprised the 169 signatories.

They said Dejoras easily got angry, would use vulgar language and would shout at them.
Elsa said she did not include the alleged harassment she received from Dejoras in the petition.
A letter, dated last Jan. 21, written by Provincial Administrator Mark Tolentino and noted by the governor was sent to Elsa.
She was advised to vacate her stalls in the terminal’s food court in a week since her contract had expired last Dec. 31.
Government prosecutors subpoenaed Dejoras asking him to submit his counter-affidavit, but he never filed any.
This prompted the prosecutors to resolve the complaint based on the evidence submitted by the complainant.
In the resolution, Prosecutor Maadil said Dejoras’ acts of hugging and kissing the complainant showed his lascivious intent against the businesswoman.
“The use of force and violence by pulling the complainant’s hand when the latter refused to submit herself to the respondent clearly suggests an attempt to subdue the resistance of the latter,” Maadil said.
