Shipping options in Cebu?

What shipping options are available for importers-exporters in Cebu both sea and air? What would be the average shipping time from Cebu to the US? What would be the average rate for shipping goods per pound?

I just want to get an idea on how much it would cost to ship, say, a few balikbayan box sized goods like necklaces, or maybe mid-sized furnitures.

Also, for really small items like a box containing a pair of sandals, what is the best (cost-effective and reliable) shipping option to the US?

Pre, sorry for the late reply. Karon na pa mi sa planning stages. Pero let me answer your questions first:

commodity:
possibly we are considering furniture, accessories (like from Avatar), and beer

Size of the cartons or dimension:
not sure

no of cartons:
not yet finalized, but would like to get an idea on the rates based on the quantity of packages

Terms of Payment:
what are our options? i've seen bank transfer, mostly. no credit cards?

door to door or port:
well, our targeted locations are pretty close to the port, so I guess picking it up at the port is fine. are there any regulatory differences between door to door and port?


Required Transit Time:
well, for goods, I suppose no more than a month..

We are currently assessing our target market. The US is definite. The other one is in Poland. This will be from Cebu to those places.

Really, I'm just doing research in terms of what options we have for shipping. I wanted to go with FedEx, but just for a small box I'm being charged an arm and a leg.

for commodity:
furniture and fashion accessories. no probs with that.. but for beer, un samn ang packaging ani? we have to check with CNE if unsa ilang policy regerding ani nga commodity

size of cartons:
lets deal more about things once upon go-signal of shipment thsi is jsut a small concern in terms of Air freight due to dimmension of aircrafts...

terms of payment:
id like to know if payment is made here in cebu or at destination.?... if it is a prepaid or collect shipment...

services:
for door to door shipment, at destination, there will be Local charges at destination but normally if your buyer is regularyu shipping, i believe they have borker to facilitate documentation at destination, but we can also handle door to door

Transit time,
well for airfreight US would only be 2-3 days for seafreight, est 16-19 days/ internal route woudl be around 28-30 days..

we could provide you best rate for Airfreight coz we are an IATA member forwarder and Seafreight at the same time coz we have Service Contract from Shipping Lines...
