Ubuntu Touch is not Android though it is currently using Nexus devices to test the OS. Both are Linux OS though. I have tried to run Ubuntu Touch on Nexus 4 and it runs smooth however it is not ready for daily use as of yet. The project is still on the development phase however if you want to try it here is the link: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Install You may also find some sources in the internet where you can flash Ubuntu Touch like a custom ROM using TWRP or ClockworkMod.
Ubuntu for Android is different and it is a separate project altogether. Ubuntu for Android runs on top of Android OS and it touted as "real convergence" of desktop and mobile. Ubuntu for Android is like an app you install on Android then you connect your phone to a screen via MHL, connect your keyboard and mouse via bluetooth (at least in concept) and you can run a full Ubuntu desktop interface. This video: Ubuntu Edge: convergence in action - YouTube was posted a week ago and it looks promising.
