Concern pud ko sa Keyboard kay gamay pati ang Monitor. di kaha ta mag backpain og stiff neck ana?my other option is to built mid range RIG for Programming and the same time light Gaming pud.. Comfortable kaayo ko sa Desktop but my problem pud is Electric Consumption niya? Please tabangi ko ninyo ani... Daghan salamat...!

    Here's my Purpose for this:

Generally low cost systems can be used for programming boss.. bisan walay GPU.. basta maau lang imong Processor.. bahalag low-end chipset imo gamiton, then importante nga high end ang imong PSU ani.. some say dili important ang PSU ani..pero trust me improtante nah, kay pag.college days nako.programming PICs arang dugaya mahuman, ang PC walay off2..

->Keyboard i suggest buy keyboard nga backlit ang keys.. para sa times nga need nimo extra light, i found this helpful sauna..

->Ang monitor bahala ug 19 or 22 inches basta duha kabook, this wll increase productivity significantly gyud...

->Higher ram helps.. bisan ug dili tight ang timings, your going to need that ram during simulation..

->Use green HDD for low consumption/stability forget the black, your not going to need the speed so much

->If kaya2 pah sa budget, invest on a silent case with silent case fans, noisy PCs do not help you concentrate, labi nah ug libog ug taas nah ang code..

->Always set the monitor to cool saturation instead of warm para dli sakit sa mata

    - Yup! Nakahuna-huna jud ko palit og Keyboard w/ LED backlift Keys
    - Ang Monitor bro mas ok pa HDMI kysa VGA?unsa ma'y nindot HDMI or VGA ghpon?

so you mean bro mas ok ang Desktop kysa Laptop(MBP) for programming as my priority and those list of purpose i added too?

    @ TS,

here's my share, basin maka tabang ta sa need nmo...

    > Java can utilize multiple core CPUs... a quad core would be very good... but a dual core would suffice too... for a bang for the money, a SB/IB Pentium and it's AMD equivalent is good for your application... Programming and Light Heavy Games... atoa lang ni gamitan ug term na "light heavy games" kay, actual nya, heavy games but lighter setting... hehehe... himo2x ta'g term...

    > for your GPU, you can choose for the GTX 650 or HD 7750 as minimum... both can play Ultra Presets or Very High Quality Preset (depende hinoon ni sa game) at 1080p... (personally, had shared my mini-ITX rig (G840 & GTX 650 @GB) gaming performance on BF3 at Ultra Preset @ 1080p on another thread... it can play Cyrsis 3 too at a very acceptable frame rates on "low-mid presets")... maayo ni'ng latest technology kay energy efficient kaayo. these 2 might not be the fastest performing entry level for gaming but, power consumption wise, it will spank any previous generation equivalent... if you want the mid GPUs, a GTX 650 Ti Boost or HD 7790 will suffice pud...

    > ok ra ning DL torrents & online streaming... make sure lang na kusog ang internal connection speed nmo...

    > for your HDD, nindot ang Toshiba (Hitachi) kay gamay ra ni sya kaon ug power but pas2x kay true 7200 rpm ang spindle speed nya... barato ra pud ang price nya compared to the WD and Seagate...

    > for your keyboard, kani, need kay check sa actual units para maka feel ka...

    > for your monitor, 20 to 23" would suffice gyud... para sa akoang, mao ni sila ang sweet spot... more than these, would be good for gaming, CAD or photo editing na... sakit ni's mata ang dagko like 27"... sakit sa liog... hehehe... mao ni akoang personal experience sa akoang 20" and 27" monitors... gamit ra gyud ang 27" for purely gaming...

    > for your ram, install 8GB as minimum...

    > lastly, for your PSU, it would be better to get the 350 to 400 W range with 80+ Bronze certification for efficiency para at least, maka abot ka ang actual VDC load ug 50% to enjoy the highest efficiency that the PSU can offer and it must be ErP Lot6 compatible for very low "phantom load" consumption labi na dili ka mag ibot sa power cord nya... dako ni'g save sa bayranan sa kuryente...

    - Ang Monitor bro mas ok pa HDMI kysa VGA?unsa ma'y nindot HDMI or VGA ghpon?Ingon cla mas ok daw HDMI kay mka less strain eyes og samot na nindot Monitor pud. sakto ba na? <- use HDMI or DVI interface.. ayaw nah ang VGA kay analog ang connection anah, meaning mag.adjust pah ka sa height and width sa m.appear sa imung monitor..Palit ug same brand/model sa monitor..ayaw pag mix.. mkalipat ang diferent size nga monitor labi nag lahi ang height sa iyang stand..

    - Need jud og Higher Ram bro?ok ra 8gb pero Kingston? <- need nimo higher ram gyud 8gb is good enough.. buy 2 pieces of the 4gb Kingston HyperX Black 1600mhz CL9... cheap nah xa then reliable.. I know reliable ang kingston kay dili man xa uber specs gud.. for programming, mao rah gyud nah imong need...

    - available ba na diri Green HDD bro?karon pako kadungog ani. <- im talking about the Wester Digital Green series, as to the size of the drive ikaw nah bahala, but if you can spend more, get an SSD and skip the HDD(im talking about pure programming build hah, this is not the PC you keep pictures/music/movies on)...

    - Yup huna-huna sad ko silent fan kay i know mahal jud na average price kay 500+ mga pila ka fans ako need? <- this depends on the case.. suggest ko either go Matx or Mitx... no need ang ATX or XLATX if ing.ani ang use..

    - Unsaon pag set sko monitor sa saturation?please tudloe daw ko.. <- naa nah sa monitor settings bro..depende nah sa monitor nga imong mapalit

so you mean bro mas ok ang Desktop kysa Laptop(MBP) for programming as my priority and those list of purpose i added too? <- unxa nang MBP?? hehehe.. desktop lang bro, i know makaya sa laptop.. pero m.init ang laptop over time, then uncomfortable sa kamot madugay... but naa pud laptops m.specialize sa programming
    Any more questions bro..

Thanks sir lloyd for great inputs!

MBP-Macbook Pro.. si Misis mn gud gpapili ko niya unsa jud daw ako gusto dapat isa ra.. so ako huna-huna jud priority nko is for Programming and Slight Gaming pud.. here's my top choice,
    1. MBP
    2. Mid Range RIG
    3. Gaming Laptop (Alienware m17x or Asus G75VX-CV040H)

if i choose Laptop need nako extra Keyboard + Decent Monitor then if MBP magstart jud ko as Baby learning to crawl kay first time pa nako mag MAC ever since from Windows. if Desktop pud solve ako mga problem kay Sweto na kaau ko sa Windows, No problem sa Compatibility sa Developers tools, medyo mas comfortable ang Desktop samot na Programming kay spend jud ka too much time og Multi-purpose but my problem lng is Electric Consumption!

liboga ui.. unsa kaha ako pilion no?!

ani nlang, kani nga build is for me lowest possible power consumption, but will still do good sa imong needs..
Processor: get at least a core i3, and get the T version, Intel's T version are the low power consumption versions sa ilang processors. EX. Core i3-3220T, Core i5-3570T, Core i7-3770T

RAM: Get at least 8mb, 1600mhz ang standard/least speed sa karon.. get the 1.5V versions, since dli man tingale ka mag.OC

HDD: Get the Western Digital Green.. at least 7200 RPM.. ok rah 5400 RPM pero mkasapot nah kahinay labi nah gamay ang cache..

PSU: Later nah ang PSU, calculate lang total consumption sa imong system. the value should be equal to 80% of the bronze PSU nga imo paliton

Case/fans.. get a case with low RPM fans with higher dimensions... EX 80mm fans @ 1200RPM is louder compared to 120mm fans @ 900rpm

^ WD Green is not a true 7200 rpm HDD... range lang na sila bro (WD IntelliPower)... but in reality, wala na maka abot ug 7K rpm gani... moang hinay ni sya compared sa uban ng true 7200 rpm HDDs. mao pud ang reason nya gamay sya kaon sa power... naa ko gi share diri na spec comparison on the Green Drives... ang ning gawas na top 1 kay ang Toshiba (Hitachi)...

kaning WD Green drives, kumbate ni sila for a storage drive...

based sa review sa "T" and "Non-T" CPU variant sa Intel, negligible ang "Power Consumption" (computed) performance nila... mas hinay gani ang "T" variant but mas mahal... "price to performance ratio" dili kuno ideal... limot ko unsa to na site dah... basta, before ko ni palit sa Celeron G465, nag basa2x ma ko... pero, after ning abot ang akoang order for the G465, na, ang na-ship sa seller kay G530T... at the same price... ingon sya na sayop sya na, pwede ra akoang i-keep at no extra charge if ok lang ba sa akoa. if dili, aw, ipa balik nya para ilisa sa G465 as order... akoa lang gi dawat ug nag pasalamat ko... mas mahal baya ang G530T... hehehe.... actual power wise, no idea gyud ko... naa sya sa akoang FreeNas running 24/7...
