This is to inspire fellow istoryans and to let them know that involvement in the local stock market ain't rocket science. Imagine if 80 percent of Filipinos are into stock market, Philippines won't be labeled as a third world country anymore, eh?
My story: I am a caregiver. I became close with one of our residents. At that time, I have zero investment. I told him my goal to save up and be home for good coz I'm super lonely here. He told me to "invest in the stock market". I was like " buuuuuut MATH ISN'T MY FORTE" ( seriously, I'm so bogo sa math na I can't multiply without using an effin calculator, yup, that's how bogo I am when it comes to math). He said that Philippines has so much potential that it looks like "1960 in america". The "sleeping tiger of Asia". He recommended a book to me. I studied like a mad man. We talked and I asked questions. That was 3 years ago. Katong pag down sa economy, I started investing. He died a year ago, I cried buckets. He got me started in stock market. I owe him what I've got coz without him, I won't know how to grow money.
It's true that when u are ready, a mentor will come.
