Experience: · 4 to 6 years
Job Responsibilities:
· UNIX Admin performs day to day operational activities of all UNIX Servers.
· To develop automation process using UNIX shell/batch scripting languages
*Other responsibilities includes but not less than to:
· Management of FTP servers, operating system upgrades, patching, security hardening, presenting storage to servers and installation of 3rd party software.
· Responsibilities also include performance tuning and coordination of activities with customers.
· Also includes working with vendors and the development of procedures for repeated activities and resource management of clusters.
Technology or equivalent:
· Strong experience in Migration of Unix Server based Applications to Linux Server
· Experience Supporting IT infrastructure in large organization
· Experience in UNIX environment Shell scripting is a MUST (Korn, Bash, Perl, etc)
· Experience in at least one of the UNIX platforms –Solaris.
· UNIX Platforms
· SUN Solaris, 8, 9 and 10 System Administration
· Experience in Solaris 10 container administration
· Experience of VERITAS Volume Manager/File system and/or Sun Volume Manager administration
· Experience in supporting and administering either SUN/ VERITAS Clusters/ across various platforms
· Experience with the use of local zones/container in a VERITAS Cluster is a strong plus
· Experience in Shell Programming for System Administrators (SA-245) or Shell Programming for System Programmers (SL-120CU)
· Knowledge of Windows and AS400 System Environments a plus
· VMWARE ESX Server experience a plus
· Experience with BMC automation tools is a strong plus
Knowledge of third party support utilities such as but not less than:
· Legato Enterprise
· Backup, CA TNG Unicenter, Symantec, Symantec Intruder Alert
· Strong basic network skills
· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Excellent cooperation and communication skills
· Problem solver, and team player
· Responsible and proactive
· Ability to work independently
Education:
Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related
*NOTE: UNIX certification or relevant experience preferred
