The Rape of Nanking is another famous-- or should I say infamous --name of the Nanking Massacre or the Nanking Incident, which refers to the atrocities committed by the Imperial Japanese Army in and around Nanking (now Nanjing), China, after the capital's fall to Japanese troops on 13 December 1937. It's like EDSA 1, which is another name for the 1986 EDSA Uprising or 1986 EDSA Revolution and EDSA 2 for the Ousting of former President Joseph Estrada and EDSA 3 for Who-Let-The-Dogs-Out-?.

I've read the article and I think Madeus is simply of the opinion that it did not happen or that not everything that is historically known of that event was true or accurate. I tend to agree with that judge's decision, the two accused officers did admit in court in staging a sort of Gimli-Legolas match of who gets to kill 100 defeated Chinese first.
