Kia shows off next-generation Carens multipurpose vehicle - News | TopGear.com.ph
Kia has revealed the all-new Carens ahead of its public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show next week, almost two months after the Korean carmaker gave a glimpse of its next-generation compact MPV last June."The new Carens builds on the family-friendly versatility and functionality of its predecessor, and features a more athletic and visually dynamic design," said Kia Motors vice chairman and chief executive Hyoung-Keun Lee. "This marks a dramatic shift forward for our MPV contender and brings the model in line with Kia's distinctive current design direction."
Built on an all-new platform, the next-generation Carens has been designed and engineered to meet the needs of modern families by being stylish (yet spacious) with its sleek aerodynamics, cab-forward design, and a long wheelbase that can accommodate up to seven passengers.
The all-new Carens is scheduled to go on sale worldwide in the first half of 2013.
