I get “brain freeze” on first and second dates sometimes and don’t know what to talk about. What are some tried and true topics that always work?

Once you have eased up a bit, talk about what interests you both.
If you have found a common ground of your interests then use that
as a springboard of your discussion through out the date.

NEVER talk about past relationships because this is simply a deal-
breaker for a second date.
