So far, we have only got Thunderbolt support on recent Apple Macs and Lenovo's Thinkpad Edge S430, as well as unreleased motherboards like Intel DZ77RE-75K and MSI Z77A-GD80, granted that the delay has more to do with host controller shortage, stringent validation processes and relatively slow adoption by mainstream vendors to bring the sky high prices down. (You can view a list of Thunderbolt devices here). We are still awaiting more information on the specifics of ASUS's implementation (probably Intel's Cactus Ridge 2C controller on a stick, which recently went into mass production), but for now we know that the expansion card will be interfaced with the Z77/H77 PCH through an onboard header aptly marked "TB_HEADER".
