Why is Charice more appreciate abroad?

I am a Charice fan, considering the honor that she gave to our country; being an international pop star and everything. But I am just wondering on why is Charice more appreciated abroad, and was given the biggest break any Filipino talent can ever dream of. Kumpara katong diri pa sya sa Pinas before her international stardome, she was ignored or was never given any chance to shine.

Why?

I am also a big fan of other Filipino prides like Manny, Nonito, Efren, Django, Dennis Orcullo, Smart Gilas, Azkals, Arnel Pineda, Apl de Ap, Jessica Sanchez, ug daghan pa to mention.

I think because no one before saw her true singing talent, they prioritized the looks over the voice.

agree bro. most pinoys kay hitsura jud pirme tanawn. if jessica sanchez auditioned sa atong mga local contests, it will be very difficult for her para makasulod sa finals; especially if through votes and basehan. awww! i am not saying that jessica isn't pretty; she's beautiful too; but most pinoys would always prefer puti, taas, etc.. hehe...
