Manli – one of several companies that is part of the PC Partner group out of Hong Kong – was showing off its latest mini PC at CeBIT and it's simply called the Manli Elite. It's similar to Zotac's ZBOX mini systems, but with a different design and upgraded hardware. In fact, it appears to be the same motherboard in both the Manli Elite and Zotac's ZBOX mini AD10, but the Elite have been upgraded with an AMD E450 APU whereas Zotac is still using the older E350. The Elite sports two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a DisplayPort and HDMI connector, an eSATA port, Gigabit Ethernet, a memory card reader, audio jacks and built in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.
There's room for an internal 2.5-inch drive and there's a single SO-DIMM slot for memory. We have to say that the Manli Elite has a much nicer looking enclosure than the ZBOX mini's, in part due to the lack of the brightly coloured circles used by Zotac in its design. Manli is also offering an optional media center remote with the Elite and pre-configured models with 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive will also be available in selected markets.
