need help configuring Linux/Globe

I just installed Slackware Linux on my computer yesterday. I can't connect to the Internet, mainly because I don't know how. I tried using netconfig, but I don't know what to enter when they ask for "Domain" and one other thing that I forgot. I am using Globe as my ISP.

I have no prior experience with Linux. And my networking background is negligible. Please be very patient with me. Thanks.

OT:
Other stuff I need help with:
-I can't hear anything when I play my MP3s
-How do I access my thumb drive in Linux?
-Linux can't detect my DVD drive. How can I fix this?

Research more about on Linux first. As a suggestion, don't jump into a Slackware distro. Maybe you should try first a more user friendly distro like Fedora, Mandrake, Ubuntu.

bro f u ned 2 know a lot n linux..thers a linux book in national bokstor ayala. it cost only 480. a complete info in all linux os, from installation to troubleshooting.. and a free full version linux cd.

i guess ur using the slack10, very old,...

music: remove alsa from kernel, install new one,...
net: i think its in /etc/net.cfg
go for init 4, u need grafx if you cant understand the $> man
