Default Gigabyte's GA-A75N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard pictured ahead of launch

Gigabyte's GA-A75N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard pictured ahead of launch by VR-Zone.com

The GA-A75N-USB3 was announced quite some time ago, although nothing much have been heard about the product since. Now picture of an early revision of the mini-ITX motherboard has appeared over on a Japanese website and although we expect some minor cosmetic changes before launch, we can't be too far from an official unveiling.

The A75N-USB3 is a fairly basic motherboard, but as such it should also be quite affordable. Standard features include two DIMM slots, four SATA 6Gbps ports and a x16 PCI Express slot. We can also spot a front USB 2.0 pin header, but that appears to be pretty much it. We'd expect the chipset heatsink to change before the board goes on sale.

Around the back the board has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an eSATA port, three analogue audio jacks, optical S/PDIF out and a DVI and HDMI port. It's good to see that Gigabyte has finally given up on the D-sub connector, although we'd presume that the DVI port allows for a D-sub display to be used via an adaptor.

We did find a price as well, as the board is listed for pre-order with some online retailers. In Europe the board should retail for around €100 (S$176) which about on par with the competition, although it doesn't make it a bargain, especially considering its fairly basic feature set. We'll have to wait and see what the official pricing will be once Gigabyte officially launches the board.
