Default MERGED: Metro Cebu Road Development: Flyovers or Road Widening?

Folks if you were say Mayor , or Congressman, City Planner , how would you address growing problem of Traffic in these changing times..

Think outside the box ... Think of Change ... a Plan that addresses front to end ...

Please No answers like "build another flyover" ... or expand roads ... Give a small plan of yours

    Strict Driver Discipline...

Color Coding is also a good choice to reduce traffic congestion...

  3. #3
    build trains on subways.

monopolized by the government the bus transport, but since jeepneys are already there, i dont think its possible.

  4. #4
    strict road rules...

i guess dili cgro congested ang traffic if disiplinado lng ang mga drivers and pedestrians...

This idea came up which died for some reason ... I heard rumblings from Jeepney sector / PUJ sector wc naturally would oppose since this lowers income if say we had trains, subway from say Naga all the way to Danao ... and stops in key areas ...

Now, would u say we were ready for major changes , lessen jeepneys , hence less stoppage in a No stopping area although how do we allocate these drivers to have jobs , I think that is one main problem since our roads aren't getting any bigger , with more cars, PUJ's etc ...

Another interesting conversation I had was the resistance to change, people don't like to change what they are used to

What I am giong to write is nothing new.

    1. regulate import of junks, este, second hand vehicles

    2. "proper" implementation of MVIS.
    - intawon, pwerteng daghan ang nagdagan nga sakyanan nga dili angay padaganon. daghan guba-on nga sakyanan dili na maka dagan.
    - might lead to less accidents kay complete ang safety paraphernelia sa sakyanan

    3. "proper" implementation of smoke belching
    - makuhaan ug mga gubaon nga sakyanan atong mga dalan
    - might lead to less car breakdown, which in turn will lead into traffic

    4. "proper" implementation of traffic rules
    - daghan ta balaod, pag implement kay weather weather lang.
    - ang mga driver, kahibalo na sila unsay sayop ug sakto. parehas ug bata nga sigi ta tudlo unsay sakto pero kung masayop, wala lang tay buhaton.

    5. "proper" implementation of license acquisition
    - paita, ako asawa naka kuha license dili man hibalo mo drive.

    6. "proper" regulation of PUJ franchise approval

    7. implementation of BRT or LRT or both

Kahibalo naman ta unsay sakto, masuko ra ba dayon ta ug kasab-an.

Mass transportation like BRT, LRT or MRT then eliminate/eradicate tricylces, jeepneys, trisikad, habal-habal og multi-cab. POLITICAL WILL from the Mayor is badly needed dili kay pa pogi points pirmi!
