Asus' F1A75-I Deluxe makes timely debut by VR-Zone.com
We're surprised at the fact that there have been so few mini-ITX boards based on AMD's A75 chipset, in fact, the only board to launch so far to our knowledge is the ASRock A75M-ITX which is a fairly feature-light board. Now Asus has rectified that shortage to a degree with the launch of its F1A75-I Deluxe, a board we first spotted back at Computex alongside its more basic sibling, the F1A75-I.
So what are we looking at here? Well, a pretty feature packed board considering its size and it's pretty clear that Asus has decided to be one of the prominent players in the mini-ITX motherboard market. As this is a mini-ITX board it only has a single x16 PCI Express slot and two full-size DIMMs, although Asus has also managed to squeeze in a mini PCI Express slot for an 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi card as well. The board also has four SATA 6Gbps ports and pin-headers for two front USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports. This is also the first mini-ITX board we've seen with a pair of 4-pin fan headers, although the positioning could've been a little bit better.
Around the back we find a PS/2 port, four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a 6Gbps eSATA port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a Bluetooth dongle, three audio jacks for 5.1-channel audio, an optical S/PDIF out, a DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI port and finally two antenna connectors for the Wi-Fi card. Overall this looks like a pretty neat motherboard, as it has just about every feature you'd want from a mini-ITX board. No word on pricing or when it'll hit the shops, but we wouldn't expect it to be far from now.
