Default feedbacks on dual core processor

nindot ba ang performance sa pentium dual core processors? unsay mga drawbacks ani niya? pwede ba ni sa mga latest software games?

What most don't consider especially with the multi-core hype is that your system still vulnerable to bottlenecks and a bleeding edge processor won't be of any good if you don't address these.

In my case, a core duo processor still does not make up for the low memory (512mb in my case) since I multitask heavily. Other bottlenecks should be just as important for other uses.

    My 2 cents.

i tried using an intel core 2 dou 1.86Ghz w/ 1Gb DDR2 Mem and my experience was good. the performance is smooth, its like an AMD Athlon 64 3500 . And i also tried to run several application software while the NFS Most Wanted is running, impresive! multi tasking was handled easily by Intel Core 2 Duo. But im not really in for multi-tasking stuff, in my case i run games and softwares one at a time, does i still prefer AMD Athlon 64 3500 atleast. It is a powerfull single core processor for less, price difference for an Intel 1.86Ghz Core 2 Duo against AMD Athlon 64 3500+ is 3,000 - 4,000 hehehe. why should i spend 9t plus for a Core 2 Duo while my needs for computing with a single core Athlon 64 3500 can satisfy me for only 5t plus. But if there will be a time that i will really need to have a multi core then maybe i will have the Intel Core 2 Duo.

In playing PC Games needs no multi core processor such as Intel Core 2 Duo, we just need a high speed low voltage processor like the AMD Athlon 64 3500+.

I am using an Intel Pentium D 945, Dual Core at 3.4GHz. Compiling of long source codes is much faster than before with my 3GHz HT.
I use now 1GIG DDR3, which is another speed increase. All in all, I am quiet satisfied with the Dual Core.

maybe core 2 duo 1.86 is equivalent to AMD 3500+ but just look at the benchmark for core 2 duo 2.13, its equivalent is the FX 6000 which cost P50,000+ compared to the core 2 duo 2.13 which is only 12,000+. Why would you buy the 1.86 when ther is the core 2 duo 2.13 equivalent to FX60 AMD. Although mahal cia gamay sa 1.86 but its worth a buck to spend for a very fast speed at less cost. Pls look at reviews. Still core 2 duo prevails in price to performance ratio.
