Does anybody have any experience using DNS servers like www.opendns.com? Is it really secure? what are the pros and cons?
Does it really speed up internet browsing?

For what you want to use this? Whats the reason? Do you have problems with your providers dns? If you do not have and dns issues with your current providers dns, dont use other dns server. Access to your providers dns server is usually faster than access a dns server in the states or anywhere else in the world.

nothing really, i was just curious about it since the website claims that browsing the internet would be "faster" and "safer" using their service.

thanks for your input, i guess i wont bother trying their service. hehe.

It may be safer, because their dns server could filter ip addresses (what I also do with my dns server) to prevent you to access sites which host malware, but I do not think it is faster. To figure that out, just ping their dns server and ping your providers dns server and see the response time.
You can also use 4.2.2.2 as a dns server.

Is this your own DNS server? Do you know what are PLDT's DNS servers? Cause the ones I know of has lots of problems. Thanks.

I have my own dns server running, independent of PLDT, so I do not have any problem.

    PLDT dns servers are:
    58.69.254.103
    58.69.254.106
    210.14.0.114
    202.57.96.4

And if this is not ok, use the free dns 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2
