toshiba satellite 2610DVD dvd-rom read problem

guys, i have this toshiba satellite notebook pc with dvd-rom only. the problem is that it cant read disc inserted on the drive, and i observed that if a disc was inserted, it never spins inside the drive. but the drive does exist on device manager, and is fully functional as stated. "please insert disc on drive e:" --- this is always the message i get whenever i insert a disc or dvd.

i tried TDK, melody, imation, sony, ridata, but still, same message.

hubluta daw na ang dvdrom, then ipaslak na pud balik if u know how to remove it.. naa ra nay screw maybe 1 or 2 nakafix

if you can try to connect on the internet then do the toshiba assistant troubleshooting. if naa kay sa ako i usually do some checkup through the net nga ila i test ang laptop. i dont know if naa imo. diagnostic software ni sa toshiba

try daw i update ang firmware sa imung drive bro. naka try nako ana. pag search lng sa imu firmware sa ila website

dugay na ka naggamit anang imong dvdrom bro, i mean bag-o pa na imong notebook? basin warranty pa na, pailisi lang kung asa nimo napalit.

kung daan na na then cge na ka ug gamit or pa-play ug CDs like audio CDs or any pirated VCDs and DVDs, then there is a possibility that it get busted.
