US Embassy in Manila, open inig Oct. 25, 2010?

Hi fellow istoryans!

I'm not sure if this is the right thread.

Just wanna know if the US embassy is open on Oct. 25th?
It's Municipal election's day and considered holiday here in the Philippines.

Open days for interview appointments for the month of October is only on the 22nd and 25th.

sis, pag naka schd ka for interview for that day i guess naa gyud sila work... i suggest also call the hotline... goodluck sa imong interview

nka try ko nga nka schedule ko for interview for that particular day nya later on ni declare ug holiday ang pinas..ila ko g reschedule kay close sila, both on US and Phil holidays...pero para sure tawagi ila hotline..

they don't do/observe philippine holidays.....

and like the first reply has advised, call them..... you'll get better results than posting here and waiting for opinions...not facts or real information.....

Why are you asking? If you are given the sked, then it's open. Or maybe you just wanna know and you don't have a sked yet.

An embassy is considered "another entity/country" inside another country. Between its parameters, the embassy follows and observes rules and celebrations concerned with the country they are servicing.

been there in your situation.. kung naka sched ka ana nga day and wala sila nag hatag ug change schedule 1 week before sa imong sched or earlier pa.. kung wa gani email or call from the embassy that means okay ra na imong sched.. naka dawat mi ug email before.. No email that means your still on the said schedule..

Oct 25 is declared as special holiday tungod sa election pra mka votes ang mga pinoy.. and US embassy ang compose of workers na filipino sad.. so meaning close jud na cla.. just my POV

if you are based in cebu.. you can personally go to Waterfront hotel - Lahug. The US embassy has a consulate office, naa sa ubos sa hotel. Just ask the guards they will point you the direction. The only thing you can do though is ask if they will be open on the 25th.

Most likely closed jud ang Embassy sa Oct 25 and you will get rescheduled. But this will have to come from the Manila based Embassy.
